This includes both the Lobster and the Crab chart PLUS the cutest Lobster thread holder. You can use the thread holder to embellish your finished project or use it for your next.
For this project I really wanted to celebrate hand overdyed thread. These were certainly a treat because with every stitch a new shade was revealed. It's hard to believe that all of these different hues came from one skein! I am madly in love with Weeks "Sunset" with all of its pinks and corals!
I used the "Sunset" on the Lobster and used Weeks "Dutch Iris" (my favorite blue) on the crab.
Be creative and choose any oyerdyed threads and linen to match your decor or suite your fancy.
You may notice in the photos of the Lobster that the white Linen I used has pink spots on it......
My youngest spilled a cherry soda on it just as I was finishing. I tried to get it out but it was impossible. I guess this counts as "hand dyed linen"?
The stitch count for both the Lobster and the Crab are 92x76 each. For the models I used 28ct white Linen. I trimmed the models with Lady dot Poms in Creamsicle and Rainy.
